How did you decide you wanted to work in accounting/finance?

I went to college to be a math teacher, because I love working with numbers and solving problems. After spending a few years in the classroom I figured out I was not a teacher at heart. During the pandemic I decided to stay home with my kids and went back to school. I knew I wanted to keep working with numbers, so I landed on accounting/bookkeeping.

What are the highlights of your career so far?

I have my Bachelors degree and am an Intuit Certified Bookkeeping Professional, along with being a QuickBooks ProAdvisor. I am also excited to say that I will be completing my Accounting Certificate in the fall of 2023.

What is your favorite thing about working with small businesses and startups?

I love working with small businesses, because it is personal and they are passionate about what they are doing. I enjoy being part of the team that helps the business owner put their dream into action.

Analytical, Persistent, Peaceful

What did you want to be when you were a little kid?

I always pretended to be a veterinarian or teacher. I knew from a very early age that I enjoyed numbers and solving problems, and that hasn't changed.

Anything on your bucket list?

My bucket list mostly consists of traveling. I want to experience new places and try all of the food along the way!
