How did you decide you wanted to work in accounting/finance?

I decided I wanted to be in accounting and finance before going to college. I've always loved numbers -- and the stories they can tell. I'm analytical by nature and can lose myself and track of time with a good spreadsheet. The structure of accounting and related processes appeal to me because I love organization!

Any specific Industries you specialize in or enjoy serving?

The industries I've worked in are professional services, technology, internet startups, manufacturing and logging (of all things!) to name a few. It's fun to pick up a Balance Sheet and P&L and learn about the unique nature of different industries. Again, numbers tell a story and that makes things interesting.

What is your favorite thing about working with small businesses and startups?

Getting to know business owners, how they started, what inspired them and where they want to grow, and how I can help with that, brings so much energy to my day -- it's all so interesting -- and I love people!

What three words best describe you?

Trustworthy, optimistic and passionate

What did you want to be when you were a little kid?

When I was little, I wanted to be a professional skier. When I was a little older, I wanted to wear a blue suit with heels and be in business - silly, I know, but that was my first outfit in San Francisco!

Anything on your bucket list?

I want to continue the daily quest to be a better version of myself--which entails continual learning, discipline to stay committed to this and at the end of the day, be grateful! Then...someday...ski in the Alps.

Any random facts you want to share?

I owned a flower shop and what a very amazing experience!
